Previously located in historic Greene, New York, Dress Your Fancy Bridal Boutique was founded in 2006 by Shelly Howell. Thirteen years later, Stephanie Brown accepted the honor of being co-owner. Throughout the years, Dress Your Fancy (also known as DYF) has been building relationships, not just customers. With the personalized service you will receive from Shelly, Stephanie and their staff, it is our goal to make sure that each and every bride feels beautiful and leaves completely satisfied. Our reputation is built on our local customers in Broome and Chenango counties along with our customers throughout the United States.
We understand what goes into making every bride look and feel special and we empathize with the doubts and fears that choosing a bridal gown can bring. Rest assured that your feelings are relevant and all the emotions you are experiencing are normal! Our knowledgeable and friendly staff insists that every bride feels comfortable and unhurried in selecting their perfect gown. Client service means everything to us!

Appointments & Services
DYF Bridal Boutique provides over 30 years of experience in all things bridal! We carry many options for rest of your entourage...bridesmaids, flower girls, mothers, grandmothers and tuxedos. We also have everything you need for prom and any special occasion. And to complete your stunning look, DYF also offers a full line of hand made, heirloom accessories, including veils, headpieces and jewelry. In our boutique, we also provide alterations. WE ARE BY APPOINTMENT ONLY so please call ahead to schedule your appointment!
Private Bridal Appointments
Bridal appointments are typically scheduled up to 2 hours in duration Monday through Saturday. However, we do offer private bridal appointments on Sundays upon request and stylist availability. For a $100 fee, you and your bride squad will have the entire boutique to yourselves as the store is closed to the public. We also happily provide yummy snacks and treats throughout the appointment as well as champagne to celebrate when you say "YES" to your dream dress!
Throughout the year, we offer designer Trunk Shows that provide you with an extra special opportunity to view and try on gowns that are not typically available at our boutique. Occasionally, there are also discounts provided by the designers as well! Check back frequently as our future Trunk Shows are always listed in our Events section and on our social media. Appointments fill up fast, so don't hesitate to make your appointments!
We work with the best local seamstresses around, all of which have many years of experience specifically working in bridal. If you need alterations, we will help start the process and get you connected with the best seamstress that best meets your needs. From there, your seamstress will call you and you will continue to work together independently of DYF. However, many of our seamstresses work right inside our boutique for your convenience!
Currently, our services are by appointment only with a limit of 4 guests per party, excluding the bride (private appointments are the only exception). Thank you in advance for respecting the health guidelines and keeping us all safe!
