At Dress Your Fancy our first priority is the well-being and safety of our customers and staff. Beginning Friday, May 29th our store will open our doors – however our policies and procedures will be changing. These changes will likely be short-term and temporary but it is important for all our customers to understand the guidelines.

Our staff at DYF has created a guide to our new “normal” to keep all our wonderful brides & customers informed. Although our policies may be changing during this challenging time, our mission remains the same – providing outstanding customer service to each member of your party and ensuring your satisfaction as you leave our shop. We will continue to stay up to date with CDC guidelines, as to always keep our customers and staff safe and healthy.

APPOINTMENT ONLY: Dress Your Fancy will be open as of Friday, May 29th by appointment only. There are no exceptions to this rule- including dress pick-up, in store payments, bridal, mother of the bride/groom, bridesmaids, fittings, accessories, and try-ons. If you are planning for any of these matters you must have an appointment.

Arriving For An Appointment: When you arrive at our shop for your appointment it is required that you give us a call and/or message us through Facebook that you have arrived. This will ensure our shop is cleaned and sanitized for you and your party. We also want to make sure our appointments are not overlapping, decreasing contact with others and creating a safer environment.

YOU ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR A MASK: If you are entering our shop it is required of you to wear a face mask. If you do not have a face mask upon arrival we will be providing them. Our staff will also be required to wear a face mask. The only exception will be if you are a bride who is saying “yes” we will allow a brief moment without your mask for pictures.

“Pre-screening” : We want to ensure the wellness of our customers before they enter our shop. If you or a member of your party is feeling under the weather, please reschedule. During this time our schedule will be flexible enough for anyone who is not feeling well to reschedule. It is a risk for you to be in our shop not feeling at your best. If you or a member of your party has been exposed to Covid-19 or has a temperature we ask that you please reschedule.

Party Limits: There will be limits to the amount of members you are allowed to bring with you to an appointment. If you are a bride trying on wedding dress there can be yourself, and two other members. For fittings we are allowing one other member to be present during the appointment. We know that it is tough not having your loved ones be able to join in on this special moment. A Zoom call can be set up prior to the appointment so that whomever you would like to share it with can be there- even if it is virtually.

Time Limits: Our appointments will be set following a timed schedule. We are allowing each bridal appointment an hour and a half time slot. Each bridesmaid or mother of the bride/groom appointment will follow an hour timed appointment. This will allow for a thirty minute cleaning and sanitizing period between each appointment. Our timed schedule will be monitored closely to ensure the safety and cleanliness of our store.

With our appointments being limited in time we ask that appointments be limited to one matter. If you are a bride accompanied by your mother or bridesmaid and they would like to find their dream dress, we ask that you please make a separate appointment for each of those parties.

Dress Choices Will Be Limited: During bridal appointments we will be limiting the number of dresses each person will be allowed to try-on. The limit will be eight to ten dresses per appointment. Setting a limit allows for less contact with product and will help to keep our appointments following our timed schedule.

This guideline applies to brides, mother of the bride/groom, bridesmaids, and accessory appointments.

In closing, we would like to reiterate that we are following CDC guidelines and taking these extra precautions to keep our store clean and sanitized for our customers and staff. The staff at Dress Your Fancy will be required to keep their work clothes at the store, changing when they arrive and leave, to minimize the spread of germs from outside our store, in our store, and vise versa. We will also be practicing regular hand washing and sanitizing to ensure our cleanliness while also stopping the spread of germs. Our staff will be working at a limited schedule during this time, keeping the amount of persons in the shop limited.
